La comunidad de Sisid tiene un antecedente histórico que desde el 25 de octubre de 1603 hace más de cuatro siglos, se encontró bajo el dominio y posición pacífica, tranquila e ininterrumpida en las tierra que conforman la antigua comuna conocida con el nombre de Sisid, siendo el conquistador General Don Pedro Rico Salto de Avaro y la compradora la antecesora común, la indígena María Inga Lañalsug. Con sucesión a favor de diversos indígenas que conformaban la comunidad de Sisid, y a la muerte de María Inga Lañalsug ella concedió el testamento a los indígenas. Es por esto que los actuales componentes de la comunidad de Sisid son descendientes directos de la señora María Inga Iañalsug.
